Crosshaven 6-10 Shamrocks 1-5
In what was teeing up to be a cracker between 2 fine sides, it certainly started off this way. Shamrocks decided to play against the wind in the first half. Crosshaven started very well and racked up some fine points. Shamrocks kept picking off scores and the first half finished 1-5 to 0-5 to Crosshaven.
Crosshaven started the second half well and got an early goal. From there, Crosshaven moved up another gear and kept the scoreline ramping up. The lads defended as if it was their last ever game and didn’t give an inch. Their transition from defence to offence was exceptional and our backs attacked in droves. Outstanding to watch.
The game was over with 10 minutes to go but the intensity from both sides kept up.
The game was played in great spirit which was a credit to both clubs.
The lads can be very proud of themselves. Powerful, brave and professional display
