22 lads played in an U12 football game as we travelled to Canovee for a challenge game on Monday night. It was a lovely evening for football and the big travelling support from parents was much appreciated. 
Canovee took an early lead with some nice football and knocked over a few nice points. Crosshaven responded with a well taken goal and followed up with some points. Crosshaven grew into the game throughout the first half and went in at 1/2 time with a lead. 
Canovee came out strong in the second half and registered some early scores and went back into the lead. 
The lads fought back well and pulled level to end the game 3-10 a piece, which was a fair result. It was a great game of football by both teams with some lovely free flowing interchange play by Crosshaven. 
It was great to see the fighting spirit up until the final whistle by every member of the squad, with a never say die attitude. 
Tough games like this will stand to the lads throughout the rest of the season as we move into the league campaign in the coming weeks
