The U14 hurlers made the long trip to Banteer yesterday evening, for their second championship game.
With almost a full panel to pick from, the lads started off cautiously enough but eventually getting to grips with the oppositions strong running game. At half time the score was 1-1 to 2-5, in our favour. Banteer again started strongly at the start of the second half and came within a few points of us but the lads kept plugging away with some great interplay and some fantastic point scoring.
From Ciaran in goal to Eoin in full forward and everybody in between, this was a super performance. A special mention to Cormac, who came on after a long layoff, after a serious injury. Welcome back big man.
Crosshaven 3-13 to Banteer 2-6
A big thanks also to the parents who travelled the long distance. Team: Ciaran, Jerry, Thomas, Billy, Max, Richard, Rian, Nicholas, Daithi, Jack, Louis, Scott, Eoin, Cormac, Tony, Roan, Flynn and Oliver.
