Minor football League Division 1 Diarmuid O Murchu’s 4-10 Mayfield 1-10 .
This game was played in Shanbally on Wednesday 24th last and proved to be a hard fought victory with Mayfield playing the better football in the opening 20 minutes leading 1-04 to 0-02 but our lads put some good moves together to reel off 4 points before halftime.
In a blistering opening 10 minute spell O Murchu’s had 3-02 on the scoreboard with 2 goals from Rory Deane and 1 from Sam Foy which had us in a commanding lead .
O Murchu’s introduced three subs who injected more pace to our play and a well executed Cian Lynch goal saw us to victory by nine points . It wasn’t a great display but a victory all the same.
