What a game! Massive credit to both teams who played out an incredible game in the spirit the game should be played in. In what was tipped to be a tight game, it certainly played out that way. Crosshaven elected to play against the wind in the first half and Shamrocks certainly took advantage of that with some well taken points and an early goal. Crosshaven settled down and started to chip away at the scoreline. The first half finished Crosshaven 1-9 Shamrocks 2-6.
The Crosshaven backline started to get on top with Givency Joseph, Tommy Crowley, Fionán Mc Sweeney, Fionn Doran-Noonan, Oisin Auzins and Fergus Murphy putting their bodies on the line. Special mention to Hughie Murphy who pulled off some incredible saves. Our midfield pairing of Fionn O'Donovan & Shane Casey dominated play together with our forward line of Rafa Considine, Callum Mulcahy, Cormac Ryan, Oisin Buckley, Conor McCarthy & Joey Middleton getting scores and not making it easy for the Shamrocks backs. Our subs Frank Cronin, Oscar Mansfield, Jack O'Herlihy proved their worth also.
