Our U16 Hurlers togged out tonight in a blustery Camden in a Division 3 League game V Mayfield. Crosshaven elected to play against the wind in the first half and Mayfield got off to a strong start putting over a number of unanswered points. They continued in that vein and Crosshaven failed to get a foothold and couldn't stem the flow of scores. The half time score was 1-7 to 0-2 to Mayfield.

A few stern words at half time certainly put the fire in the Crosshaven lads bellies but this was quickly quenched by a Mayfield goal straight after the half time whistle. 2-7 to 0-2 down - a mountain to climb!

Crosshaven then started to pull up their socks and starting picking away at the scoreline with some fine scores. Our backline stood their ground with some fine play from Oisin Auzins, Jack Ryan, and Fionn O'Donovan and great puckouts from Louis Murphy.

Crosshaven then scored 2 quick goals in succession with some great work from Shane Casey, Rafi Considine & Callum Mulcahy. The lads never stopped believing and with a point from Jack Ryan and a final winning score from Joey Middleton, we were winners of a great battle. Final scoreline of Crosshaven 2-10 to Mayfield 2-09
