Incredible win by our U16 footballers yesterday V Fermoy in the Division 1 League Final on a scoreline of Crosshaven 4-12 Fermoy 3-02
Crosshaven started off playing with the wind in the first half and found it difficult to get scores on the board. They eventually got to grips with the strong breeze and finished up 6 points ahead at the end of the first half.
A 6 points ahead lead didn’t seem to be enough against a very strong Fermoy side but Crosshaven really knuckled down and played with amazing team spirit to shut down Fermoy attacks aided by some positional changes which really paid dividends. Crosshaven scored 3-06 in the second half to Fermoy 2-01 which was really impressive given the breeze.
The club are extremely proud of this team and to be able to beat a big town team was incredible. Well done lads- now it’s time to knuckle down for the Junior Cert 😀
