Played in lovely sunshine in Minane Bridge, this was going to be a close affair with Crosshaven facing a young fit Belgooly team. Crosshaven matched them with youth , experience and fitness from the start.
The first half was a “getting to know you” affair with plenty physical play in all positions on the field with Belgooly having most of the possession. Belgooly finished the first half 4 points ahead.
Crosshaven coaches were overheard saying some “encouraging “ words and started the second half with a renewed vigor. With some fresh legs making a difference and 2 goals from Redvers McGrath it was a dominant display from Crosshaven with some strong defensive play by our backs
