Carrigaline 1-10 Crosshaven 2-11
Following on from our League Final win last Friday night, the Junior Footballers took to the field again with a very young team, complimented by some more experienced players, in Carrigaline this evening. Carrigaline started extremely well and knocked over a 3 points without reply from Crosshaven. Crosshaven started to get some possession which they quickly converted into scores but this was nullified very quickly by a goal from Carrigaline followed by an opportune goal by Crosshaven. It was nip and tuck throughout the first half with some fine physical football being played by both sides. The first half finished Carrigaline 1-6, Crosshaven 1-2.
Crosshaven started to get a foothold on the game and quickly started to power up the middle of the field with some fine points. Carrigaline started to regain possession with some fine scores but Crosshaven worked the ball up the field for a well taken goal which put some breathing space between the teams. The final 20 minutes had a very strong display by Crosshaven who finished well by outscoring Carrigaline 1-9 to 0-4 in the second half
