Crosshaven 1-13 Valley Rovers 0-6
Valley Rovers started the game very strong and maintained a lot of possession but failed to convert this on the scoreboard. Once Crosshaven got possession, their youth and speed came to the fore with some brilliant scores from our midfield and our forwards. it truly was fantastic to watch the transition at speed from defence into the forward line. Crosshaven did play with a strong breeze in the first half where it finished 1-10 to 0-2 at half time.
Valley Rovers then came out with a renewed energy and picked off 5 great points with some patient play & Crosshaven finding it difficult to get on the ball but defendng with everything they had. It really was a team effort with all the forwards doing their bit in defence. When Crosshaven did advance, it was difficult to get scores against the wind but with fresh legs in our subs, Crosshaven managed to peel away with some fine scores in the end.
