MHL Diarmuid O Murchu’s 2-12 Ballygarvan 3-06.
Following on from our narrow defeat to Aghabullogue a fortnight previous we reversed that result last night in Shanbally.
In a tight game throughout Ballygarvan were playing better hurling and were worth their 2 goal lead mid ways through the first half but O Murchu’s fought back and narrowed the gap to a point before half time .
Playing more direct hurling in the second half we picked off some nice pints from play and Barry O Mahony finding his range with frees we eventually pulled away for a three point victory. Cian Lynch and Ruaric Sisk scored a goal in each half .
