Our boys narrowly missed out on progressing to the next stage of the U15 Féile competition today. Having beaten Ballinhassig in the first game, it all came down to the match V Sliabh Rua who fielded a very physically strong team. Crosshaven were missing a number of key players but that didnt matter to the 20 players who played a major part in making this a very enjoyable game of football. It was topsy turvy all of the game and our lads fought until the end and the game ended up a draw.
Unfortunately the rules of the game dictate that the team with the least amount of points conceded would progress to the next stage if both teams were even on Table Points won. So it was not to be, but our lads can hold their heads high and the Club is very proud of their fight and determination until the end.
These lads will live to fight another day no doubt.
